Malouda not wanted by Pameiras

Palmeiras have turned down the chance to sign Chelsea winger Florent Malouda.

The France international has made no secret that he has grown unsettled at Stamford Bridge after struggling to hold down a regular first-team spot under coach Andre Villas-Boas.

Paris Saint-Germain and Anzhi Makhachkala have both been credited with an interest in the 31-year-old midfielder, who has made just four Premier League starts this term.

FIFA agent Marcos Bocatto said he is in charge of finding Malouda a club in Brazil, after the Frenchman had expressed an interest in moving to the South American country.

Palmeiras are usually offered many players, and Malouda was offered, too, vice-director of football Roberto Frizzo told ESPN Brasil.

But there was no interest. Every time that we are offered a player, we talk with the coach, and Luis Felipe Scolari was not interested.

Malouda is not part of our project.

Scolari coached Malouda while he was in charge of Chelsea in 2008-2009.
